Institutes and faculties

Throughout its existence, the university's structure has been constantly evolving. In 1918, the Pedagogical Institute provided training in only 4 areas: physics and mathematics, natural sciences, geography, and historical and philological. In 1930, about 100 students studied at the agronomic, physico-technical, chemical-biological and social-literary departments. By 1934, the department of correspondence studies appeared in the faculty. By the early 40s, the following faculties began to operate: physics and Mathematics, natural Sciences, history, Russian language and literature. At that time, the university had more than 1,000 students and 88 teachers.
