The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports was organized in 1980. Until 2009, the faculty was headed by A.B. Voronin.
Currently, there are three departments in the structure of the Faculty: two graduating departments and a university-wide department.
The faculty has lecture halls, a computer class, a skiing center, gymnastic, sports and fitness rooms. Swimming classes are held on the basis of the swimming pool “Klassika”.
At the faculty there is a volunteer squad called “Russian Knights,” and the volunteers help in holding sports competitions of different levels.
We are proud of graduates who have become are Masters of Sports of the USSR and the Russian Federation, Masters at the world leve, Honored Masters of Sports.
After graduating from the faculty, the graduates can work as teachers of physical education, coaches in specific sport, instructors of adaptive physical culture, and fitness instructors.
The faculty pays special attention to the quality of professional training and patriotic education of students.
