The Institute of History, Philosophy and Political Sciences was founded in 1938, as Institute of History and Philology. The Institute trains teachers of history, social studies, English, historians, political scientists, specialists in international relations, advertising, organizers of extracurricular and educational work.
Over the years of fruitful work, the Institute became the basis for the creation of a historical school, where such prominent teachers as V.N. Rosenthal and N.G. Sokolov worked. Graduates of the Institute successfully work in educational institutions, museums, archives, government and commercial structures.
We are proud of our graduates, including Academician L.V. Cherepnin and Professor A.G. Kuzmin.
