The main goal of AIS is to create conditions for favorable socialization of foreign students, as well as their involvement in socio-cultural activities. The Association’s activity is supervised by the International Activities Department. Persons from different countries will communicate, organize joint events, talk about their countries, culture and traditions.

The Students’ Club consists of the brightest, highly active and creative representatives of all the academic departments and institutes. The Club participates in campaigns in the regional and the city of Ryazan, organizes trips to students’ forums, competitions, takes an active part in the organization of major cultural events of the University.

This association, the purpose of which is educational work with students from among orphans and those left without parental care, students with disabilities and restricted abilities, and other social categories of students to develop their initiative and independent endeavors, adaptation to the academic and socio-cultural environment of the university.

This community of the University alumni for development of professional, creative and scientific relations, increasing the competitiveness of the University, preserving and multiplying the values and uniqueness of education in this institution, its culture and traditions, brand and reputation, and increasing the prestige of the RSU in Russia and abroad.

The Readers’ Student Club is a space for avid readers where students can share their impressions of books and discuss different genres. The club holds regular meetings where participants discuss what they have read and recommend new books. They also organize literary parties, workshops and meetings with authors. The reading club enriches knowledge of its participants and also creates a friendly atmosphere for communication and exchange of ideas.

The profession-oriented association of students and young specialists of special (defectology) and psychological pedagogy is a public association of volunteer undergraduates and specialists in the fields of defectology and psychology, created on the initiative of students and lecturers engaged in scientific, methodological, research and major practical activities in their time free from study and work.

The Russian-Japanese student community is engaged in popularization of Japanese culture, development of Russian-Japanese youth exchanges, adaptation of Japanese students and teachers. The community organizes lectures, master classes and cultural exchanges to promote friendship between the two countries.

The main goal of the club is to develop the professional qualities of its members through visiting thematic forums and international venues, preparing projects, as well as through holding events within the club aimed at improving the competencies of students in the study of international relations.

Center for Creativity and Youth Initiatives The Center prepares and conducts thematic, theatrical events and shows, dance and entertainment, information and exhibitions, leisure programs, celebrations and festivals. The Center includes such creative associations as: The Youth Chamber Choir of the Ryazan State University named for S.A. Yesenin was established in 2006 on the basis of the Theology department by students singing in the choir of the University Temple. The repertoire was initially based on Russian religious and classical choral music, adaptations of Russian folk songs and popular vocal pieces. The choir has won prizes at several major All-Russia contests and festivals.

All about sports events and activities, development and popularization of healthy lifestyle among students. You can express yourself in any sport. Qualified coaches will help you pump yourself up. There are gymnasiums, gymnastics and sports halls for students.

The center’s activities are aimed at providing financial assistance to young families, individual support in difficult life situations. Special payments are provided for married couples, a room in the dormitory is provided to them.

This youth community unites the most creative and imaginative students. The Media Center is a platform for students' creative self-expression, where they can develop their skills in journalism, video production and design. The Media Center offers master classes, trainings and lectures that help participants learn modern media tools and technologies. There is an opportunity to create your own media project and win an audience.

The Temple of Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Martyr Tatiana functions on the University campus. It is a spiritual center for students and faculty members, where they can spend time in prayer and reflection.

It exhibits paleontological and entomological collections, stuffed birds and mammals of the Ryazan region accumulated at the Department of Zoology. Permanent expositions, exhibitions and the museum funds are a scientific base for laboratory classes of students, their term papers and graduation theses. School teachers bring schoolchildren her on thematic trips, teaching and preparing them for Olympiads and competitions.

The museum exhibits and stores materials on the history of the main educational institutions of the Ryazan Region, the history of the RSU named for S.A. Yesenin - the oldest university in the region, about lives and activities of outstanding lecturers and famous graduates of the university.

The exhibits of the museum reflect the periods of life and scholarly and academic achievements of this first Doctor of Slavic-Russian philology in Russia. The exposition of the museum reflects the modern attitude of Slavic and Russian scholarship to the academician’s heritage in Slavic studies and lexicography.

The first and so far the only university museum of the great poet among more than 20 state-run, public and other museums devoted to Yesenin in Russia and CIS countries. S.A. Yesenin’s museum invites university lectures and staff, students of the university, Ryazan citizens and guests of the city to participate in excursions and cultural and creative events dedicated to the great Russian poet.

A modern sports facility providing opportunities for swimming and water sports. It is equipped with modern equipment and meets all standards of safety and comfort. The pool is actively used by both university students and local residents for training and health improvement. It often hosts sports competitions.

The primary branch is the most important structural element of the movement, which unites participants and attracts them to projects of the All-Rusia Movement of Children and Youth. The participants‘ age is from 6 to 18 years old: they are school and college students. The activity of the movement is aimed at organizing leisure time, creating opportunities for comprehensive development and self-realization, as well as professional orientation of children.

The theater-studio of the Ryazan State University named for S.A.Yesenin was formed in 1998. The theater pursues this mission, formulated by its founder Gennady Dmitrievich Kirillov: Fighting for the youth’s soul. University students can perform in the Perekhod theater after they pass an audition and training in the studio. The Center coordinates work of volunteer groups of the University, acting as an official representative of the university in volunteer activities. It aims at increasing the number of volunteers and creating new volunteer associations and groups.

The University volunteers participated in major world events, such as the XXII Olympic and IX Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017 and 2024, FIFA World Cup in 2018, etc.

Traditionally, the Center Volunteer Development participates in major social actions in the Ryazan Region: “St. George's Ribbon,” “Immortal Regiment,” “Summer without tobacco smoke,” etc. University volunteers organize regional meetings of volunteer groups. During the COVID-19 pandemic period, the Center for volunteer development organized assistance to medical workers and to the population.

The White Pelican Pedagogical Volunteer Squad unites students and young professionals who are eager to contribute to the development of education and help children. The squad members actively organize various events, master classes and trainings. The main goal of “White Pelican” is to create a comfortable and friendly educational environment where every child can discover his or her talents. The volunteers of the detachment also participate in social projects.

Since 1975, “The Blue Bird” pedagogical squad has become the most numerous one in the university. It is an excellent opportunity for self-realization and development of leadership and professional qualities, pedagogical competencies and skills of teamwork. In summer about 350 students work as part of the pedagogical detachment go to children’s camps all over the country as counselors, event organizers, animators, and methodologists.

This supreme body of students’ self-government represents the interests of students and associations in their relations with the university administration, it finds solutions improving the life and living conditions of students, and organizes cultural, sports and scientific events. We train tutors who help our first-year students to adapt easily and quickly at the university.

Coordinating and advisory body of students’ self-government on campus represents the interests of students who live in dormitories. The Students’ Council of the Campus actively participates in cultural and educational events, contributing to the creation of a friendly atmosphere among students.

The hockey team of RSU named for S.A. Yesenin is an important part of the sports life at the University. The team actively participates in various competitions and tournaments, demonstrating a high level of preparation and team spirit.

This is a team of enthusiasts who provide legal and social assistance, organize exciting leisure activities. The students’ trade union organization distributes financial aid, implements the program of subsidized meals, and organizes various events.
