The main objective of the astronomical observatory: conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of astronomy, astrophysics and ecology of near-Earth space.

Tasks:

implementation of fundamental scientific research in the fields of satellite and meteor astronomy,

conducting applied scientific work related to the introduction of new means and methods of astrophysical research,

providing conditions for teaching astronomy and other disciplines of the natural science cycle at the university,

participation in events related to astronomy and space research,

establishing and developing relations with scientific and educational organizations of the Russian Federation and foreign countries,

promoting astronomical and natural science knowledge.
