1) development, coordination, management and control over the implementation of the plan (program) of work to ensure information security at the University,

2) development of local regulations on ensuring information security at the University,

3) identification and analysis of threats to information security directed at the University, vulnerabilities of information systems, hardware and software, and taking measures to eliminate such threats,

4) in accordance with information security requirements, exclusion of negative consequences (including eliminating of making them impossible), development and implementation of organizational measures and use of information security tools,

5) detection, prevention and organization of work to eliminate consequences of computer attacks.
6) provision of information on identified computer incidents to authorized government agencies and specialized organizations,

7) following instructions of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and its territorial bodies, the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control based on the results of monitoring the security of information resources of the University, when access to such is provided through the use of Internet telecommunications network,

8) Performance of other functions, based on the goals and objectives set by the Rector of the University within the framework of ensuring information security.
