The Department of medical, biological and psychological foundations of physical education was organized in 1992. N.G. Ignatov made a great contribution to its development.
The main research direction of the department is medical, biological and psychological support for persons involved in physical education and sports.
The department studies the dynamics of the morphofunctional and psychological state of athletes
optimization of the motor regime of students
formation of the foundations of a healthy lifestyle
issues of preserving and strengthening the health of students and sports local history.
The department cooperates with universities (Dalian Polytechnic University (China), Ryazan State Medical University, Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture, APU FSIN) and colleges (Ryazan Pedagogical College), as well as with schools 9, 59, 64 of Ryazan and kindergartens 3, 51, 48, 77, as well as with the Center for social rehabilitation of disabled people and the center for public health, medical prevention and information technology.
