The Department of pedagogy was established in 1931, so it is one of the oldest higher school departments in the Ryazan Region.
Over the years, many prominent specialists have worked there: M.A. Melnikov, N.I. Alpatova, A.A. Doronina, P.I. Samoukov, A.I. Kochetov, L.K. Grebenkina, V.A. Belyaeva, and others.
The research sphere of the department is determined by the needs of the state and society. Therefore, its priority research areas include: history of pedagogy and didactics, general and special pedagogy, study of educational work methods, pedagogical skills and pedagogical technologies.
The high level of research work is confirmed by the effective postgraduate programs in general pedagogy, the history of pedagogy and education, as well as extensive international relations.
Close interaction with municipal education authorities, schools, children's health camps (including the International Children's Center "Artek") and other partners allows us to ensure high quality training of teachers and employees of institutions of additional education.
