The Department of chemistry is one of the oldest in the region, it was created in 1933.

Bondareva, A.N. Kozlov and other scientists.
The scientific focus of the Laboratory of coordination chemistry at the Department of chemistry is complex formation and use in asymmetric catalysis of chiral phosphorus-containing ligands
its use in the pharmaceutical industry leads to a twofold reduction in costs and elimination of impact on the environment.
The department closely cooperates with its industrial partners LLC "FORT," JSC "RNPK", LLC "OKTAFARMA-PHARMIMEX," LLC "SKOPINFARM". The students undergo practical training and internships, and employees of enterprises take part in the implementation of educational programs.
