The Department of criminal law disciplines provides training in legal disciplines of bachelor's, specialist, master's and postgraduate programs.
The teachers of the department are doctors and candidates of legal sciences (over 90%), have experience in practical legal activity (over 60%), are members of commissions, councils, boards under regional and municipal authorities, and provide expertise in the Unified State Exam in social science.
Under the guidance of these lecturers, their students become participants and prize-winners of competitions, scientific events, olympiads, etc.
The department closely cooperates with the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ryazan Region, the Prosecutor's Office of the Ryazan Region, the Regional Ministry of the Interior of Russia, and the Ryazan Regional Court.
The department annually holds an international research and practical conference “Criminal Policy: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow,” which brings together representatives from different countries and regions of Russia.
